چکیده
Zr/Fe/Al-modified chitosan beads were synthesized as a potential absorbent to remove fluoride on wastewater. In this study, the effects of solution pH, dosage, initial concentration, adsorption time, and coexisting ions evaluated through series experiments. It was found that an capacity 37.49 mg/g achieved in conditions with pH at 6.0, 1.6 g/L dose CS-ZFA, 60 mg/L 120 min time. The results indicated by CS-ZFA can be explained Langmuir isotherm. Moreover, kinetic studies process good compliance pseudo-second-order kinetics intra-particle diffusion model. newly absorbents characterized SEM, EDS, FTIR, TG analysis. Based characterization, high is due electrostatic attraction between amino metal formation complex for fluoride. These excellent properties revealed effective removing aqueous solutions environmental remediation.

متن کاملPreparation of magnetic chitosan/Fe-Zr nanoparticles for the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solution
Copper and hexavalent chromium are heavy metals that are harmful to human health. Natural adsorbent chitosan, due to its considerable properties such as the presence of functional groups of –NH2 and -OH, non-toxicity, low cost, and biocompatibility, has gained much attention in pollutant removal. Therefore, in the present study, adsorption of chromium (VI) and copper (II) ions was conducted in ...
متن کاملCoal Ash as a Low Cost Adsorbent for the Removal of Xylenol Orange from Aqueous Solution
The removal ofxylenol orange from aqueous solution onto the coal ash was investigated at room temperature. The results show that the adsorption capacity of xylenol orange increased as the adsorption time increased and then equilibrium established after 30 min adsorption time. The results obtained revealed that the coal ash removed about 80 % of xylenol orange from the aqueous solution withi...

Adsorption of reactive orange 16 by quaternary chitosan salt (QCS) was used as a model to demonstrate the removal of reactive dyes from textile effluents. The polymer was characterized by infrared (IR), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDXS) analyses and amount of quaternary ammonium groups. The adsorption experiments were conducted at different pH values and initial dye concentrations. Ad...
